Installation and Usage

Most distributions ship GnuPLOT on their installation CDs. Curiously, it is only coincidentally related by name to the GNU Software Foundation and is not licensed under the Gnu Public License. Sources are available from the GnuPLOT website, as are binary distributions for most operating systems including Unix and Unix workalikes, MacOS and Windows.

Minimum hardware requires are modest, especially while running without a GUI. For simple computations almost any post-1995 computer should run GnuPLOT without difficulty. For more complex calculations better hardware is suggested.
